As we continue to expand our reach, we are looking to bring on an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to build and grow our sales pipeline while representing a respected brand known for its quality and creativity.
Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive, ambitious, and results-oriented Business Development Manager to actively drive the growth of sales for Blue Label by Ben Whistler. You will be responsible for identifying and nurturing new business opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers within the interior design, architecture, and hospitality sectors and developing tailored solutions to meet the needs of our clients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the high-end furniture industry with experience in both residential and commercial projects. You will leverage your existing network, industry knowledge, passion and relationship-building skills to help drive new business whilst maintaining existing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Development & Relationship Building: Proactively source and build relationships with interior designers, architects, specifiers, and hospitality professionals to generate leads and convert them into clients.
- Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and execute a sales strategy to target key residential and commercial projects, consistently seeking new opportunities to expand the business and increase revenue across various client types.
- Client Consultation: Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and offer customised made-to-order furniture solutions that align with their aesthetic and functional needs.
- Proposal Management: Oversee the creation and presentation of tailored proposals, ensuring the quality and accuracy of quotes and managing the end-to-end process.
- Market Research & Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities to adjust sales tactics and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- KPI Achievement & Reporting: Strive to meet and exceed performance KPIs, including the number of quotes written, conversion rates, and overall sales revenue.
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with the design, production, and marketing teams to ensure seamless client experiences and successful project deliveries.
- Customer Service: In line with our Company values and ethos, the candidate will provide an exceptional level of customer service at all times, ensuring the client’s needs are met and exceeded.
- Client Facing Events: Assist with preparation and attendance of Company events.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management within the furniture industry, specifically targeting interior designers, architects, and hospitality clients.
- Proven track record of successfully closing sales and working with KPIs in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of the residential and commercial sectors, including the challenges and opportunities specific to each.
- In-depth knowledge of furniture design, materials, and manufacturing processes to confidently advise and consult with clients.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- A self-starter with a strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently, while also thriving in a collaborative team environment
- A results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving quantifiable targets and business growth.
