BARS & RESTAURANTS
Davies and Brook
MAYFAIR

Named after the two streets that bound Claridge’s, Davies and Brook is the flagship restaurant of one of London’s most iconic hotels. Ben Whistler worked closely with Allied Works, the project’s US-based designers, and Make It Nice, chef Daniel Humm’s restaurant group, to create the furniture.

Apt for its magnificent setting
Reflecting the exacting standards of one of the world’s best chefs, the furniture for Davies and Brook went through a rigorous prototyping phase to ensure that each piece was apt for its magnificent setting.

Ben Whistler made the restaurant’s chairs (both armed and armless versions), banquettes, tables, service credenzas and bar stools.

Details include brushed champagne brass sabots on the chairs, with the same finished used for the suede-upholstered Ample bar stools, a design from Ben Whistler’s library of products. Service credenzas are made from oak with a contrast birds-eye maple veneer, while a single central credenza features a smoked-mirror finish and champagne brass fretwork.
