The Tack Room

Once the servants’ hall of the ornate neo-Gothic Adare Manor, The Tack Room is now a convivial cocktail bar at the heart of this storied luxury hotel.
This grand vaulted space was designed by David Collins Studio
with bar stools, sofas and banquettes supplied by Ben Whistler.
Sumptuous materials give bar the feel of an inviting den, with leather, marble, bronze and rust-coloured velvet
The furniture has been designed for different purposes – from lounging comfortably with a whisky to sitting more formally for a conversation – with varying seat depths and heights meticulously considered for each function.
In one area of the bar, the banquettes wrap snugly around the room’s enormous stone columns, which required not only careful planning but considerable on-site upholstery work by Ben Whistler’s installation team: in total, the installation took a week.
