The Carriage House - Adare Manor, Co Limerick

The Carriage House serves as the clubhouse for luxury golf resort Adare Manor and includes several spots for dining, drinking and socialising under one roof. Ben Whistler worked with the designer, David Collins Studio, in all of these spaces, supplying banquettes, chairs, stools and tables and more across this multi-venue modern building.

The formal restaurant has a club-like feel, with curving fluted banquettes in oxblood leather running down the centre of the room

To either side, further banquettes are topped with hand-gilded verre églomisé panels, all supplied by Ben Whistler. The banquettes were made to accommodate sub-woofer speakers within.

Marble-topped console tables, also supplied by Ben Whistler, sit on slim bases in contrasting light and dark antique brass finishes

Separated by sliding doors from the restaurant, the private dining room is dominated by a large table that can be split in to several smaller tables for greater flexibility over the space.

The Terrace, an informal dining space, mixes bespoke Ben Whistler banquettes and tables with Dauphin dining chairs supplied by its sister company, Chapel Street.

The Carriage House’s bar features deep armchairs with stained-oak frames and dual upholstery – deep green velvet in the inside, and embossed leather on the back. Mixed metals gleam under low lighting: rotating bar stools with a bronzed-brass finish, and tables with either embossed-metal tops or banded with pewter.
