George’s Bar
ST PANCRAS

A masterpiece of the Victorian gothic style, the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel was designed by George Gilbert Scott (as the Midland Hotel) in the 1870s. The interiors of George’s Bar live up to the architecture, taking a sumptuous, detailed approach, with banquettes and tables made by Ben Whistler.

David Collins Studio worked with restaurateur Marcus Wareing to refresh the bar’s existing interiors
The banquettes are upholstered in teal Verbier leather by Whistler Leather with contrast cord piping in vivid red, with a brass and timber decorative rail on the curved back.
The antique brass on the new furniture was carefully matched to the existing brass bar

Cocktail tables are made from stained beech with tops edged in brass and inset with gold-leaf-backed glass. A single circular display table encloses a large indoor tree, a piece that was designed in sections and assembled around the tree, slotting together for a neat, considered finish.
